Born in Sassari on june 12, 1981, he’ s considered one of the new blues guitar talents in Italy. His musical research and his growing goes from the electric to the acoustic blues. After the success at the Narcao Blues Festival contest “Blues From Sardinia” with his band Blujuice, new doors and new musical experiences are opened for Francesco, like when he opened the John Mayall’s show in Narcao on 2004. Beyond the electric blues projects, from 2004 Francesco appeared in acoustic version like One Man Band, his preferred musical way. In clubs and theatres he plays a repertory that goes from Robert Johnson to Eric Bibb and Keb’ Mo’, from Horace Silver’s swing to personal blues version of Neil Young and Jimi Hendrix songs, until his own compositions that mixed the styles of his musical evolution, singing and playing acoustic guitar, dobro, harp, banjo, lap steel, weissenborn and, for some arrangements, playing with the help of a loop station. His acoustic project starts from the respect of Delta Blues tradition and evolve to a mix of traditional blues, swing, soul, rock and funky, atmospheres that we can breathe in Francesco’s first album “Blues Journey”, produced by Groove Company and presented on July 2007.
The Sardinian bluesman plays in several prestigious festivals: “Narcao Blues Festival” at Narcao (CI) (2003, 2004, 2005, 2007), “Piacenza Jazz Fest” (on 2005 here he’s put among the new six talents of italian jazz), “Acoustic Guitar International Meeting” at Sarzana(SP) (where he represented the A.d.g.p.a. of Italy) (may 2006), “Migrazioni Blues” at Piacenza (may 2006), “International Buskers Festival” at Pennabilli (PU) (june 2006), “Lario Jazz & R’n’b Festival” on the Lake of Como (july 2006), “Musica Sulle Bocche” at S.Teresa di Gallura (OT) (july 2006), “Lodi Blues Festival – Winter Session” (january 2007, february 2010), “Subiaco Rock & Blues Festival” at Subiaco (Roma) (august 2007), “Lodi Blues Festival – Summer Session” (august 2007, june 2008), "Dromos Festival" at Nurachi (OR) (november 2007), "Out of the Blue's Festival" at Samedan , Switzerland on january 2008 (winner of the festival contest), "Dal Mississipi al Po" at Piacenza (2007, 2008, 2009), "Blues in Idro" at Milan (2008, 2009,2010), "Sestri Soul & Blues" at Sestri Levante (GE) (april 2009), "ADGPA International Guitar Rendez Vous" at Conegliano Veneto (TV) (2009,2010), "Delta Blues Festival" at Rovigo (july 2009), "Ligura Jazz Festival" at Santa Margherita Ligure (GE) (july 2009), "Aglientu Summer Festival" at Aglientu (OT) (august 2009),"Blues To Bop" at Lugano (Switzerland)(august 2009), "South in Blues" at Carbonia (november 2009), "Santa Blues de Tenerife" (Spain)(june 2010), "Malcesine Blues Festival" at Malcesine (VR)(june 2010), "Treviglio Blues Festival" at Treviglio (BG)(july 2010), "Pistoia Blues Festival" at Pistoia (july 2010), "Baia Domizia Blues" a Baia Domizia (CE) (july 2010), "Black & Blue" at Varese (july 2010), "Trasimeno Blues" at Castiglione del Lago (PG)(july 2010) and the renowned “26th INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE” at Memphis, Tennesse (USA, january 2010) where he plays representing Italy at solo/duo contest act .
